Myanmar Thilashins Nuns
The Buddhist Nuns in Myanmar are called Thilashins wich means "possessor of morality". They observe the ten precepts and are easy recognised by their pink robes, orange shawl, shaven head and metal alms bowl. Thilashins go out on alms rounds during the day of observance and receive uncooked rice or money.
