During my trip to Sri Lanka, I particularly liked the Buddhist site perched on the Mihintale hill, on the Mahinda mountain. To access it you will have to climb 1840 stone steps, in the company of the many local pilgrims who come from all parts of the island to visit these places. It is precisely here that Mahinda Thero brought Buddha's Dhamma to Sri Lanka from India.

I loved the climb with all the local population and the majesty of the site once I got to the top. The view extends as far as the eye can see and the site exudes a serene and magical atmosphere especially at dawn ...
